The Owner of this site is Colin Thompson, married with two grown-up daughters and five grandchildren.

Colin worked in the newspaper industry for over 30 years and was forced into a career change in 1994.  He is currently teaching music in the Banstead (Surrey) area.

Approximately half of Colin’s students have achieved a Distinction in their examinations and since he started teaching only two of his students have ever failed an examination.  More information on Colin can be found on

Colin started learning music at the age of 10, passing his diploma at 18.  He played in a very successful dance / show band with his friend, (Mick), who unfortunately died a few years ago.  After that he spent a little while with an Amateur Dramatic company (Ruskin Players in Carshalton) assisting with some of their musical productions – mainly for the children.

More recently, Colin started to write this music course – hopefully in a way that can be understood by most English speaking people.  He then began selling it on eBay and followed by writing more courses on different related subjects.  If there’s anything you would like to see explained more fully why not send Colin an email about it.
